Description John Smith 2006-01-23 16:08:51 UTC
OO.org base starts normally but when you click on Tables (to create a new table), you get the error message: "OpenOffice.org requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. Please install a JRE and restart OpenOffice.org".

All other OO.org apps appear to work OK - Writer, Calc and Impress work without fault as far as I can tell.
Comment 1 Petr Mladek 2006-01-24 14:53:25 UTC
Hmm, there are more problems with the JRE, such as in the bug #144113.

I am working on it but I has not found any useful solution yet.

OOo checked only for libgcj.so.6 and not for libgcj.so.7.

It is fixed in ooo-build cvs now. The fix should be available at 10.1-beta3/NLD10-beta3.
