Last modified: 2006-01-23 21:29:21 UTC
When i trie to install and compile the nvidia modules. (NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1.run NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-8178-pkg2.run) It fails with an error. Added the logging.

Read http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-installer-HOWTO.html.
I've just testedit. It works perfectly for nvidia video. But nvsound is still not compiled. So i don't have any sound.
Didn't know that still anyone uses the proprietary nforce drivers. Good luck!
The binary-only nv audio driver isn't supported -> WONTFIX. If you have any problems with the default ALSA drivers (snd-intel8x0), please open another bug.
I use the nvsound module as this is the only one that works. The same counted for nvnet untill now, now forcedeth is working. MCP51 support is needed.

I'm sorry but i get an error when i try to use: snd-intel8x0
alsaconf doens't find a sound card eather.
Please open another bug report as I wrote, with more detailed descriptions of errors: what you did and what you got (or not). We won't debug for binary-only drivers. Also, if the network driver in our kernel package doesn't work, open another bug report, too.
