Bugzilla – Bug 145109
YOU wants to downgrade WINE
Last modified: 2008-06-25 09:53:21 UTC
Last year the first beta of wine was released. At the same time a new versioning-scheme was introduced. All new versions of wine have the version-number 0.9.x But YOU wants to install an older version which uses the date as version number. YOU thinks that wine 20050725 is the latest version, because the number 20050725 is much higher than 0.9 But I want to use version 0.9.6 and not such an old version like 20050725 - and now SuSE Watcher always shows me that new important security updates are available. And so I have to check manually if thats realy the case. I think the easiest solution is to provide the new version 0.9.x instead of the old 20050725.
Sorry for this late reply. We can't replace the old version as it is shipped on medias. The change in the version scheme hit us bad in this case. There is no real good solution for this. I will set the bug to later maybe I will find a finesolution in near future.

mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy)
Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
