SL10.1_LOC-Linux-JP-Beta1-06/01/24- Edit button closes down TV dialog
Last modified: 2006-05-03 11:10:53 UTC
Edit button closes down TV dialog SL10.1 Japanese Beta1 Steps: 1. Launch YAST. 2. Select Hardware. 3. Select TV Card - Add - TV Channels. 4. Click Add and then add a TV card. 5. Select the card you just added and press the Edit button. Expected Result: When you press the Edit button you should be able to edit the TV card. Actual Result: When edit button is pressed, TV Card dialog close's down and your brought back to YAST
Tried this on a new Japanese setup and it worked fine. Please try again on Beta2.
Actually it does crash. If the keyboard is set to input standard text it works fine, but if you hit SHIFT+SPACE to change to Japanese and enter in Japanese characters it crashes out.
Please see Comment #2
Mike, input method problem?
Does this happen only with the TV Card dialog or can this be reproduced elsewhere in YaST2? I don't have a TV Card, therefore it would be helpful if it can be reproduced without using the TV CArd dialog.
More likely duplicates to come, please stand by... (as usual, VistaTec enters every bug a dozen times, just in different scenarios)

OK, even though I don't have a TV card, I can play around with the TV card configuration dialog. And the many duplicates suggest that this is a general problem not related specifically to the TV card dialog. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the problem on current STABLE-x86_64 (post beta2). Japanese input works just fine for me in YaST2 (I tried in many places).
As this problem is not reproducible anymore, I'm closing this bug as FIXED. Feel free to reopen if you can still reproduce it. In that case please specify the exact procedure how to reproduce it.
Closing. Not a problem on RC3.
