Description Wolfgang Rosenauer 2006-01-24 20:48:51 UTC
bacule should be built with --enable-gnome and provide gnome-console

/etc/bacula/gconsole is there but no gnome-console application
Comment 1 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2006-01-24 20:53:48 UTC
I would also suggest to add
--enable-wx-console
--enable-tray-monitor

These X features might go to a subpackage to avoid useless X dependencies on console only systems.
Comment 2 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2006-01-24 20:57:08 UTC
chose some more generic summary
Comment 3 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2006-01-24 20:58:05 UTC
can we also enable postgres support at the same time or is it impossible to have both built?
Comment 4 Anna Maresova 2006-01-25 17:07:55 UTC
Well, I can create X-dependent subpackage but I am afraid I am unable to enable support for all three databases at one time. When I tried it last time, it did not build and I did not find any easy solution, header files were completely messed up.
Comment 5 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2006-01-25 17:23:44 UTC
as it is too late in the cycle to add sub-packages I would suggest for 10.1 to remove the /etc/bacula/gconsole script.
I'm reworking the whole package at the moment for my own usage and will come back to you if I think it's ready and usable. But that's only for post-10.1.

I will be glad to see your changes. I will reopen this bug after 10.1.

Comment 10 Stephan Kulow 2008-06-25 09:53:21 UTC
Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
