Comment 2 Kerry OConnor 2006-01-26 09:29:31 UTC
STEPS TO REPRO:

1. Open YaST
2. Select "System"
3. Select "Profile Manager"
4. Click the "Enabled" radio button
5. Click "Configure..." button in the Resource Groups box
6. Click "Add" button
7. Enter localised characters - e.g. German extended characters such as ü or ä.
8. Click "OK"

Expected result:
New Group should be created with extended characters.

Actual result:
A message is displayed which says "The name is invalid".

If extended characters are not allowed in this field then perhaps a more detailed message explaining why the name is invalid.

Yes, maybe helptext or error popup should have a note about allowed characters.
Comment 4 Aoiffe Murray 2006-02-01 10:44:16 UTC
This is also occurring on the Italian version
Comment 5 john lohan 2006-02-23 11:53:57 UTC
This issue was checked on FR SL10.1 Beta 4 and is still a bug.
Comment 6 Jiří Suchomel 2006-02-23 12:00:53 UTC
You don't have to check it again; it is LATER, which means I will not change the helptext for 10.1, but for LATER version of product.
