Description Joop Boonen 2006-01-27 18:47:04 UTC
I'm missing one option on the instal, screen. under F3 install source i cant use local disk/directory. While all other options are available.

I get it to work by shoosing an installation medium that i don't than i stops installing. After that i can choose a disk/local directory in yast2 text.

Please rephrase that and describe it in more detail.

I've tried to decribe it via screenshots.

Well, it should be no problem to choose a local directory as installation source within the installer itself, but maby this is worth an enhancement for more usability? I'm taking Jiri into CC.

Olaf, Steffen, who maintains this menu?
Comment 7 Steffen Winterfeldt 2006-02-27 11:08:49 UTC
I was asked to remove it. See bug 60128.

You can still use install=hd://<whatever> but yast does not officially
support it.
