Errors about /dev/shm when starting rescue system
Last modified: 2006-01-31 11:58:57 UTC
When I select "rescue system" from the bootcd, I get errors on boot about /dev/shm not existing. This got dropped with a new kernel version. Perhaps it´s also when starting the installer, I´ve just seen it with "rescue system"
Which script or tool does output the error?
Since I don´t know that much about SuSE internals I can´t say that, but if you boot into rescue mode you´ll see what I mean. The messages are there only for a short time :( Sorry that I can´t give you more information here.
Werner: Please help? This looks like a problem within the boot scripts.
Sorry, no idea.
I know. It's that stupid 'cp -a' not wanting to copy hardlinked directories.
fixed
