Bugzilla – Bug 146458
Boot manager configuration doesn´t remember partition selection
Last modified: 2007-05-10 11:38:07 UTC
When I select "install into the bootsector of the current partition" as a target for the boomanager when I return again to this page the selection always stays at "install into partition" and the text field representing the active one. Just a visual glitch, though, since both mean the same.
It would have to check where grub was installed in order to make a preselection which it probably doesn't. Maby something for an enhancement.
Bootloader config does not belong to me but Olaf Dabrunz.
This is just a visual glitch. If you select the "install into the boot partition /dev/sdaX" and re-enter that page it checks the last checkbox and inserts the device name behind it. It should just notice that the "selected" partition is the boot partition (which it has to know at least because of the description of the second checkbox) adn chcek the second box. If you don´t understand the above (sorry explaining in english is sometimes a bit dufficult *g) just so what I wrote, you´ll see what I mean :)
Still there with beta9
Fixed in openSUSE 10.3
