Description Richard Biffl 2006-01-30 07:09:11 UTC
I have a Dell PERC 2/DC SCSI RAID controller, which is a rebranded AMI (now LSI Logic) Megaraid 467. LSI's recent Megaraid drivers for Linux do not support older "legacy" controllers like mine. There's another driver out there for legacy Megaraid controllers, but it is evidently not included with Suse Linux 10.1. Perhaps that is because there were formerly conflicts between the Megaraid and Legacy Megaraid modules, but I think those issues have been addressed and the new 2.6 kernels support both megaraid and megaraid_legacy (or whatever it is named).

Is this a closed source driver? Anyway, if it is not included, it is an enhancement. Let's ask the kernel maintainers about this.

Please include the PCI Ids (Device/Vendor/Subdevice/Subvendor).
Otherwise we wouldn't know what we're looking for.
