Upgrading SUSE 10.0 from its shipping kernel-2.6.13-15-default to a 2.6.16rc1 KOTD, rt2500.ko is not available. This is supplied by the 2.6.13-15-default kernel and is needed by various wireless cards. rt2500pci and rt2500usb do not bring up this card, for example (lspci output)

These drivers are in a separate rpm package, not the main kernel package 
anymore.  Please use them instead.
