Description Chris Ward 2006-02-01 19:34:17 UTC
SuSE Live 9.3 worked well under QEMU; virtual networking was automatically configured and you could use Konqueror to browse the web from a virtual session directly. However SuSE 10 live DVD does not configure the virtual network.
YaST will configure the card but gives a 'package error' along the way.

You can fetch a QEMU-ised version of SuSE Live DVD from here http://linuxtracker.org/torrents-details.php?id=1335 .

For use under QEMU, it would be handy to have an alternate kernel on the live DVD (selectable by isolinux.cfg) without the 1000Hz 'tick'; top interrupt rate of 100Hz would be good, or possibly even slower. There is plenty of space on the DVD to allow this

Steffen is responsible for LIVE-DVD

Actually it's Torsten.
Comment 5 Torsten Duwe 2008-01-02 14:07:20 UTC
The openSuse 10.2 Live DVD is discontinued in favour of a general-purpose solution based on the kiwi imaging system <http://kiwi.berlios.de/> Please reevaluate against the current version, reopen as necessary and assign to the current maintainer(s).
Comment 6 Torsten Duwe 2008-01-02 14:08:44 UTC
Feel free to reopen if the issue persists with the current version.
