Description Michael Stather 2006-02-04 23:57:21 UTC
I´ve a motherboard with integrated nforce 4 audio codec. It works fine in SuSE 10.0.
On installing beta3 it is detected but when KDE is started after installing the "kmix" icon shows me that it can´t find the mixer. On the next start it can find the mixer but all "output" channels are disabled and the volume is set to zero. When I set the values the sound works fine.
I think this is an issue with the sound not being started the first time (after the installer is finished) which sets the volumes to zero on shutdown.

I had the same problem. It happened only the first time after the installation.
