When I start the system and then choose "logout" in KDE and then "go to console mode" in KDM sometimes just the splash screen is showed (with the little spinning thing in the lower part). I´ve to press "escape" to see the startup messages and login prompt. Another issue is that the mouse cursor of KDM "stays" in the console (can´t be moved of course).
