Description Harald Koenig 2006-02-06 18:49:12 UTC
I've installed 10.1-b3 on that 2*2 core opteron with 8GB ram.

trying to boot the new system without touching ESC (why is there no hint
"press ESC for details" anymore ???) crashed the system 3 times
(once when trying to finish installation and two more tests after powerdown/
check with resucue system/...).

unfortuneately I only have a 4 Mpixel screen shot from the crash log:-(
there are messages (IIRC) from aix79xx driver, semaphore stuff, and
one <NMI> ... line.

if I press "ESC" ("for hidden details";) during boot to figure out what
might trigger that crash, the system starts up correctly (tried twice).

I'm almost sure that I've been able to boot 10.1-b2 without pressing ESC.

any ideas ?
anyone interested in the screen shot ?
