Description Thomas Pangborn 2006-02-06 20:14:58 UTC
I wanted to place a formal request for addtion of the NetBeans 5.0 development IDE into SUSE Linux. The version is really irrelevant, just the fact of having one of the latest releases in the official distribution would be a plus. Since 5.0 is the most recent and stable version. That is the one targetted here.

I currently see where Eclipse is included as a standard Development IDE; however, I must download NetBeans for each install of the OS. Not terriblely hard. Simply looking for an alternative java development suite, that's open source based , to be included as well.

Version 3.6 is packaged now and will be on our ftp tree by the end of the week.

An update to a newer version will happen after 10.1 goes out.
