Bugzilla – Bug 148648
Some PC cards are not recognized when plugged before bridge initialization
Last modified: 2007-02-07 14:49:08 UTC
There are some cards which are not recognized when plugged before bridge initialization. E.g. at boottime you have to replug them physically toi make them work. The workaround in /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia:PCMCIA_COLDPLUG_REINSERT=yes does not work for them. We have to investigate the drivers of these cards. This bug is a container to collect all broken devices.

Status? Fixed in recent builds?
Not as far as i know. There was no time to dig into this.
This won't be fixed for code 10.
This won't be fixed for 10.2 either.
This wont be fixed at all, because this are rare cases. And it happens only with some old devices.
