Description Charles Hannum 2006-02-07 22:44:11 UTC
I am seeing exactly the same symptoms reported in this thread:

http://www.nabble.com/where-to-debug-automount-problem-t913.html

There was a patch, and explanation of the actual bug, posted to a Debain mailing list:

http://groups.google.com/group/linux.debian.bugs.dist/browse_thread/thread/789dbd70b8f407cb/90d976e73865f93d%2390d976e73865f93d

Empirically, this patch does not appear to be in SUSE Linux 10.0. Could this be added to future releases? It seems obvious, and it's rather annoying in our normal setup.
