avahi: stale Zeroconf icons in Nautilus
Last modified: 2008-08-14 20:44:13 UTC
How to reproduce: 1. Enable file sharing on Mac 2. Browse network:// in nautilus 3. Turn Mac off Current behavior: After disappearing of Zeroconf services, Nautilus changes the icon to the dumb icon and changes the title. Expected behavior: Icon disappears.

I tried this on beta 8 and the icons for ftp and sftp on the mac disappeared promptly. Can you still reproduce this stanislav?
Confirming the fix.
Reopening the bug. The bug is avahi specific. After disconnecting of Mac, icons are still there and avahi-browse -a shows disconnected machines. Tens of minutes after disconnecting the Mac, avahi-browse -a stops to show these machines, but Nautilus continues to show them with dumb icons (dnssd-local-machinename-._ftp._tcp.local. Restarting avahi daemons and the nautilus fixes the problem.
Sounds more like a workaround than a fix. Still, given that this is marked should_go_upstream, and an upstream bug already exists, I'm resolving LATER.
Bad upstream component. Reported as avahi issue: http://www.avahi.org/ticket/36
mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy)
Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
Update resolution to UPSTREAM.
