Description Ladislav Michnovic 2006-02-13 12:36:28 UTC
As can be seen in attached screenshots, trying to add directory from nfs-server, displayed message may be confusing for user. I'd not expect a message to install nfs-utils.rpm in "add directory" window. Maybe the deppendency should be added or some installation of the needed rpm should proceed automatilcy as it is in e.g. ldap client.

And the text appears also in line of Remote file system after click on OK.

Maby the module should depend on the nfs-utils package.
Comment 4 Martin Vidner 2006-02-13 13:28:08 UTC
IIRC I did not add the dependency right away because the package is not strictly necessary to run the NFS client. I should improve the behavior to inform the user that he will not be able to browse but otherwise it will work fine, and offer to install the package.
Comment 5 Marcus Meissner 2006-09-04 15:54:00 UTC
nfs-utils is the old style userland nfs server package.
nfs-server is the new style kernel nfs server package.

what tool do you need from there?
Comment 6 Martin Vidner 2006-09-04 16:04:27 UTC
It is the other way around ;-)

I need showmount.
I will just add "Recommends: nfs-utils" to yast2-nfs-client
Comment 7 Martin Vidner 2006-10-13 12:38:10 UTC
Fixed in yast2-nfs-client-2.13.5.
