Description Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2006-02-16 08:40:58 UTC
I tried to install via ppp (UMTS internet connection) and found that this is impossible. This means that also pppoe (DSL) installation is not possible.
In the light of OpenSUSE it should be possible to install directly from the network, as it makes no sense to download 3DB of ISOs when i only want to install a minimal system.
Comment 1 Michael Gross 2006-02-16 12:31:15 UTC
I'm not quite sure if this is supported. For the moment, that looks like an enhancement to me ;)

Why is a DSL installation not possible for you? Please be more verbose.
Comment 2 Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2006-02-16 13:22:32 UTC
There is no possibility to set up a dialup, either via modem, UMTS or DSL since the ppp stuff is not in the installation system.
Comment 3 Michael Gross 2006-02-16 13:38:41 UTC
Steffen: Can you shed a little light on this? Should the installation be supported in that way and if not, what are the plans?
Comment 4 Steffen Winterfeldt 2006-02-16 13:47:40 UTC
We need a volunteer that programs all the dialogs for the setup.
