Description Karl Eichwalder 2006-02-18 03:23:32 UTC
The appearance of the Gnome desktop is not very nice. Chosen colors do not fit. On SL 10.1 we have a mostly blue background and the title bar of the active window is light green. No one seem to like this color combination.

I'd also like us to give up on this SUSE branded wallpaper. The lizard is already in the panel and the YaST icon also has it.

Try this theme and see if you like it better. http://jimmac.musichall.cz/stuff/private/Gilouche-0.1.tar.bz2

You can install this using the Gnome Theme Manager from the Control Center. Simply paste the url given above into the entry in the "install theme" dialog.

Does this help fix your problem?

Yes, as long as we keep the blue background this blueish theme is much better.

Isn't Gilouche now the default theme and hence this report can be closed?

I do not know the details, but it looks fixed (by Anna) to me.
