Bugzilla – Bug 152080
Eject button on removable media (DVD/CD) doesn't work
Last modified: 2006-03-30 16:50:39 UTC
First came to my attention during installation, I had to click on the "Eject" button on the dialog to eject the CD's. This carries over to after installation, it is not possible to use the eject button on the drive, I needed to resort to using the "eject" CLI command to eject the last CD. It isn't a "show stopper", but it is annoying... Athlon XP2100+, Medion Life PC (no model no. visible on mobo, VIA BIOS), LG 16x DVD-ROM.
This might be intentional as there is a problem with ejecting the first CD before YaST asks for #2. Klaus?

could be a duplicate of bug #152260
Yes and no, the problem is that this carries on past the install into normal use, the 152660 just discusses the install process. This bug also covers the fact that the eject button doesn't work on media during normal usage like I can on my 10.0 machines. As the machine is on a KVM, it is frustrating not being able to eject the CD when I want to remove it, but have to switch to the 10.1 Beta box and then issue and eject command.

This should be fixed in Beta9. If not reopen with more details.
I wonder if Bug 159595 is related to this one?
