Description Martin Schaffstall 2006-02-20 00:04:09 UTC
Korn shell version ksh93r was released a few weeks ago. It would be nice of Suse could update to this version.

Are you reporting this for version 10.0?
Please don't use bugzilla for information about version updates, as the maintainer ordinarily keeps track of it. Write a mail instead: werner@suse.de

No, this was for Suse 10.1.

Ok

Status=RESOLVED/FIXED means Suse 10.1 will ship with ksh93r, right?
Comment 3 Michael Gross 2006-02-20 13:40:16 UTC
No that means that in bugzilla we handle bugs only. Suggested version updates due to a problem that is caused by the current version als also handled here.

If you want to remind the maintainer of a new version, you still can write him a mail, in that case, as mentioned werner@suse.de.

If you have a request for a package that is not part of the installation yet, there is the package wishlist at opensuse.org:

I will update after 10.1 is released. This because such an update has
to be tested and the test/beta time is already gone for 10.1. Beside
this even if I would update, I'm pretty sure that the product manager
wouldn't accept this for 10.1, because without longer test/beta time
our policy forbids new packages without reasons like security or real
bugs (stability over version numbering or new features).
Comment 5 Dr. Werner Fink 2006-04-07 15:11:42 UTC
The ksh93r is now included in 10.1.
