Description ville romanov 2006-02-20 16:44:05 UTC
I was going to do some changes in YaST2, system asked root-password and I wrote it. Then the system slowed down for two minutes, but YaST2 didn't start.
Every program that needs root-authorization didn't work. I did testing to log in with root password when I was starting linux, but didn't work, too. Root log in (also YaST2, SaX2, etc.) works fine in fail-safe mode.

You will have to fix the fontconfig bug first:
Download the packages from
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-10.1-OSS-beta3/fixed-rpms
and delete ~/.font-cache*
Comment 2 ville romanov 2006-02-23 14:57:29 UTC
There is only .fonts.cache-2.
Comment 3 Michael Gross 2006-02-23 15:01:06 UTC
Yes I ment .fonts.chache*
