Hi Chendil, we were actually looking for a back trace via gdb.

Robert, this is in the log though:
** ERROR **: file nm-vpn-service.c: line 435 (nm_vpn_service_stage3_connect_cb): assertion failed: (service != NULL)
aborting...

Comment 5 Robert Love 2006-02-23 15:07:17 UTC
I reproduced it with another VPN (so it is not Novellvpn-specific).

I'll fix it next week, after WPA Enterprise is (more) solid.
Comment 6 Robert Love 2006-02-23 19:04:35 UTC
Actually, I am not seeing nm-applet crash, just the icon disappearing.

Chendil, a back trace (not the NM log) would be greatly appreciated.

Fixed in CVS and submitted to autobuild as 0.5.1cvs20060302.

Working fine with Beta 9.
