Some dialogs have bad dimensions and control buttons (OK CANCEL ...) are hidden.
It is happen only in some cases. I tested it on new installation with new user.
I will attach picture.
Very often it happen when checking spelling in web forms. (Right mouse in Konqueror + check spelling). If there is some misspelled word, and spellchecker HAVE some suggestion. If spellchecker have no suggestion this bug do not take a place.

qt3 patch

This qt patch seems to fix it and I can't see any visual problem introduced by it. I still need to check with TT, but I'd say the patch is good enough.

Dirk, I leave this up to you. I can't really judge the risks of including this patch. Please follow your own guts feeling :)

I'm very much against such a change so late in the beta cycle. I think it would be better to workaround the issue in kspell.

Bug #157504 is the same problem, even the official fix from TT doesn't fix that one, mailed them again.

This duplicate was reported against KDE 4 in latest Factory, which is 11.0 RC1 with Qt 4.4.4. This means this bug has survived several Qt releases, including the major version update to 4.x.

Upgrading product once more (the initial report was against 10.1). Also adding an age bonus ;-) to the severity.

I haven't experience this bug in general since some time ago. The only one remaining is with kdesu (wrong password). Using KDE4 from KDE:KDE4:Factory.

KDE 4.1 seems to fix some of the issues but I haven't check it all

The bug with kdesu is fixed for me with KDE 4.3 from KDE:KDE4:Factory. The corresponding upstream bug is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166888.

I leave this bug open as it is already assigned.

Original issue fixed. If somebody still has a similar problem, please report the problem directly upstream.
