Description Juergen Orschiedt 2006-02-26 09:18:10 UTC
sax2 doesn't allow usage of radeon_drv.ko when fglrx is installed.
Even with -r -m 0=radeon the fglrx driver is selected.
Comment 1 Marcus Schaefer 2006-02-26 13:58:08 UTC
yes, intentionally because both drivers influences each other
which may lead to a forced reboot of the machine. Once installed
the binary drivers will be preferred this applies to nvidia as well
as to fglrx. If you don't want to use fglrx uninstall it with the
routines provided by the driver vendors. This is the only way
to ensure a clean system state
