Description S. Handgraaf 2006-02-27 02:10:44 UTC
When the Preferences window opens it is not sized to show all options in the General screen. The 'connection' option stays hidden from view if the user does not figure out the window can be resized.

Imho, if this preferences window can not open sized to show all options, the user should at least be able to view and use a scroll bar to recognize there are more options then shown.

Does it happen with english user interface or with another language.
The problem is that the default size of the dialogs is optimized for en-US version and it doesn't fit with every language. At least the english version doesn't show this behaviour for me.
Another question is: Do you report this for Firefox 1.0.7 as in SUSE Linux 10.0 or for future SUSE Linux Versions as 10.1.
(I couldn't reproduce it with Firefox 1.5.0.1 for SUSE Linux 10.1)

SuSE: OpenSuSE 10.0 final
Firefox: 1.0.7
User interface: English (default settings)

The Firefox about box shows:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050920 Firefox/1.0.7 SUSE/1.0.7-0.1

I think we are not going to fix it for Firefox 1.0.x on SUSE Linux 10.0. Sorry.
(maybe we have to do an update to Firefox 1.5.x some day for 10.0 which would fix it)
And I can't reproduce it with current release and 10.1 beta versions.
