Bugzilla – Bug 154659
dependency conflict mono-core with mono-data, mono-dataa-sqlite and mono-web
Last modified: 2006-03-13 18:59:12 UTC
While upgrading a SuSE 10.1 beta 3 system to beta5 I get a strange dependency conflict. "Cannot install mono-data because it is conflicting with mono-core A conflict over mono-data == 1.1.13.2-8 (mono-data > 1.1.13.2-5) requires the removal of to-be-installed mono-data-1.1.13.2-8.i586" The same for mono-data-sqlite and mono-web. Has mono-core been splitted? There is no information that mono-core is old. It could aswell be new to be installed. And the text says that I should remove mono-data... Anyway I guess I really should delete mono-core. (The same type of message is shown for to-be-installed lukemftp with lftp)
The mono packages have not changed, but I believe Beta5 had some major dependency resolving issues: http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:Most_Annoying_Bugs#SUSE_Linux_10.1_Beta5 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 153142 ***
