Bugzilla – Bug 154999
running Kcontrol as superuser from a shell
Last modified: 2006-03-03 15:08:46 UTC
I get errors when trying to load YaST modules using a shell as superuser. The module loads but I get a blank page. It works as it should using normal user mode. linux:/home/user # kcontrol kbuildsycoca running... linux:/home/harry # KWrited - Listening on Device /dev/pts/2 X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 6 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x0 auto_sink: Could not load polyp Cannot open client KNotify::playTimeout X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 20 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0x420071a KNotify::playTimeout ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 30298, errno = 0
works fine on my 10.1 beta5 - the yast modules are gone from 10.1 though. You should use normal yast2 as root to open yast modules
