Description Alberto Passalacqua 2006-03-05 18:33:23 UTC
GNOME is still at 2.12 while 2.14 is going to be out before beta 8 release. Considering the improvements made in GNOME 2.14 for memory management, system performance and bugs removal, it should be better to upgrade to 2.14, as Fedora will do.
Also some additional features of 2.14 like program lockdown and profiles are of interest for many users.

We will not upgrade to 2.14 because we'd have to upgrade for the enterprise product as well. In general this will be solved by opensuse going forward.

I'm aware of the 2.14 imporvements, we have helped contribute some of them and have packaged others.
