Bugzilla – Bug 156070
fresh installation (build 606) installs kernel-default and kernel-smp
Last modified: 2006-03-16 02:38:00 UTC
I did a fresh SUSE Linux 10.1 installation, build 606, and got both kernel-default and kernel-smp installed. Will attach YaST2 logs shortly.
Created attachment 71760 [details] YaST2.tar.bz2
Another note: The installation was done on a Thinkpad T41p, kernel-default should have been the prefered kernel. Some tpctl + kmp packages, that seem to be exclusive to Thinkpads / laptops have been installed in -smp flavour only.
I'm seeing the same thing on SLED 10 beta 7 with a T42p, as have several others in this office today.
I think this is a dup of bug 156513.
The tpctl + smp bug was fixed today.
I'm still seeing this on SLED 10 beta 8 (build 790) with a T42p.
