Bugzilla – Bug 156488
"SUSE help center" item in SUSE help center doesn't work
Last modified: 2007-05-01 01:09:39 UTC
When clicking "SUSE help center" item in SUSE help center (the bottom one), it shows an error, "help:susehelpcenter/index.html doesn't exist or cannot read".

Is this in KDE or GNOME?
GNOME, as you see in Component.
Where exactly are you finding the SUSE help center? Which package provides it? I cannot find any corresponding documentation on my system, even though I installed everything from beta 8.
See bug #160212. It's installed as default on SL10.1, maybe not on NLD.
SUSE Help Center is suseish name for Gnome's yelp.
Currently (beta 9) Yelp/SUSE Help Center shows up, but most of the documents don't show up at all, an error message appears. I will attach a screenshot in a minute.
Created attachment 76778 [details] Screenshot showing broken yelp/SUSE Help Center I reproduced this error with pl_PL, en_US and de_DE locales.
This file comes from: jpr@zugwang:~/Desktop> rpm -qf /etc/opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/Help.desktop kdebase3-NLD-10.1-27
Marek: This works for me. Could you update your yelp and susehelp packages and try again?
I'm still seeing this in beta 10.
Un-need infoing
I just installed RC 3. Now this menu option in GNOME launches... the KDE Help! Yelp, if run from command line, is still broken. I don't think that replacing Yelp with KDE Help in GNOME is the best idea, I hope it's just a temporary workaround for RC 3...
I'm closing this one as it works properly in later versions (SLED and 10.3).
