Where did you see the errors? Only in the logs? There may be many minor ones. Which ones do you mean in particular?

The logs have 66MB. Please guide us what we should be looking for.
Comment 3 Lukas Ocilka 2006-03-14 12:15:02 UTC
Holgi, could you, please, comment?
Comment 4 Holger Sickenberg 2006-03-14 12:19:40 UTC
I got lots of popup windows
Comment 5 Lukas Ocilka 2006-03-15 07:22:52 UTC
such as?
Comment 8 Lukas Ocilka 2006-03-15 09:36:31 UTC
There are a lot of error messages such as:
--- cut ---
[YCP] SlideShow.ycp:671 Package 'python-qt' is remote
[pkgbindings] Callbacks.YCP.h(expecting):313 Wrong return type YT_VOID: Expected YT_BOOLEAN
...
[base] Exception.cc(log):94 RpmDb.cc(installPackage):1781 RETHROW: RpmDb.cc(doInstallPackage):1883: Subprocess fail
ed. Error: RPM failed: file /opt/kde3/bin/pylupdate from install of python-qt-3.5.1-8 conflicts with file from package kdebindings3-python-3.4.2-8
file /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/qtsql.so from install of python-qt-3.5.1-8 conflicts with file from package kdebindings3-python-3.4.2-8
...
--- cut ---

Holger, there are so many messages in those logs (64 MB of text) that if you don't provide any feedback which errors did you mean, somebody's gonna close this bugreport as INVALID. If you get a pop-up error message, we'd appreciate to get also the information WHAT was in that pop-up to find it in the log.

So this is the scenario:
Install SL 10.0, update 10.0 with all available OnLine Updates, Update to 10.1 by running the Installation and selecting "Update" instead of "New Installation", right?

Thanks
Comment 9 Holger Sickenberg 2006-03-15 11:11:10 UTC
The problem is: I don't remember the content of the popups.

Your scenario is nearly correct, but select all patterns in software selection during installtion and update.
Comment 10 Holger Sickenberg 2006-03-24 10:37:03 UTC
OK, because I'm so friendly ;-) I retested this with Build 805. Here is the content of the popups:

Fixed summary.

Michael, can you have a look ?
Comment 15 Christoph Thiel 2006-04-07 14:45:07 UTC
After discussing the various options, we have now decided to add some obsoletes to coreutils, to work around the broken ordering ;)
