Bugzilla – Bug 157434
Boot manager module doesn´t show the modes correct
Last modified: 2007-05-10 12:39:26 UTC
When I edit a bootloader configuration (using GRUB) the "video mode" field doesn´t display the description of the video mode but only a hexadecimal value e.g. 0x31
Did you configure this with YaST? In that case please attach the logfiles and the resulting boot-configuration (/etc/grub.conf, /boot/grub/*).
I tried to attach the generated y2logs.tar.gz but it was 6,2 MB big and bugzilla refused it. Please increase that limit then I´ll re-attach it.
Try re-compressing it with bzip2 instead of gzip... Or simply upload it to your webspace and post the URL here.
bzip2 seems to never terminate when trying to compress this archive. could you please set the limit so that everyone can upload his/her logfile
File a bug against the bugzilla-component for that. bzip2 needs some time to compress this, but the compression ratio is much better.
Created attachment 72829 [details] YaST2 logs
OK here is it. The bug is in the first entry (SuSE 10.1)
Still there with beta9
Is this fixed by now? If so, please close this bug.
I created a feature for this for openSUSE10.3, and close this bug wontfix (for 10.1)
