Description Matthias Andree 2006-03-16 12:58:54 UTC
When a NFS-mounted directory (perhaps automounted via autofs) hangs because the NFS server is down, and the system monitor applet has disk monitoring enabled, gnome-panel can hang in the statfs syscall.

Is it possible to make statfs nonblocking somehow to avoid panel hangs inherited from the applet?

This is somewhat similar to bug 151222

Fixed in autobuild (via the patch from http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316455).
