SUSE 10.1 KDE 3.5.2 ADDING LOCAL DIRECTORIES AS SOURCES ACCEPTED BUT NOT VISABLE
Last modified: 2006-05-29 15:05:52 UTC
Migrated from 10.0 Retail Edition, Under KDE right click the approiate local folder you would like add as a Yast Installation Source Examples: /Data/iFolder/Suse/KDE 3.5.2/base/ /Data/iFolder/Suse/KDE 3.5.2/applications/ /Data/iFolder/Suse/KDE 3.5.2/development/ /Data/iFolder/Suse/Samba/ /Data/iFolder/Suse/Apache/ Under the action menu select add Directory as Yast Source, Yast idicates its been added. However refreshing rug followed by list availabe services its apparent it was not added? I have also tried via command line via rug mount -n KDE_BASE /Data/iFolder/Suse/KDE 3.5.2/base/ with no luck? Sincerely, Edward Ascencio
Please note : I was able to add the directories mentioned previously after checking directory permissions changed from user 1000 group fileshare to the the appropriate user and the default group remained fileshare. Unclear if the update process changed the previous setting. Prior to the upgrade ? By using rug command line, wondering when will additional documentation regarding the use of rug will be made available ? However the problem still exsist under KDE Action menu when selecting "Add directory as a yast source. Edward A
