Did not happen with the binary nvidia driver, but I can't use it as it freezes my system. But with the OSS one, firefox is the only app that shows this strange behavior, if I move the cursor with the arrows keys in the URL bar, it is not repainted. Until I do a mouse event and click on the URL bar. See screenshot

I guess that's an X problem (or a GTK one, don't know)
