1. Unable to add local directory installation source via YaST (YaST->Software->Installation Source). Error msg is "Unable to create installation source from URL...".
2. Unable to add local directory source via Konqueror->KRPMView->Use Directory as Source with YaST. Return is "YaST source added" but it is not added to the YaST installation sources.
3. Unable to install RPM via KRPMView->Install Package with Yast. Error msg is "Following packages haven't been found on the media... (with trailing garbage from the /home/mwells/.kde/share/config/k3brc file. Don't know why it would even go there, however, I was attempting to install "k3b-0.12.15-3.pm.1.i586.rpm". Deleted the "k3brc" file and retried but the result was exactly the same.

This is definitely a duplicate and already known.

Please don't report multiple issues in one bugreport - this bug is a duplicate of different bugs ;-)

1) is a duplicate of Bug 168358, Comment #15 contains a workaround
2) and 3) are duplicates of bug 174369
