Bugzilla – Bug 192743
Yast software installation error(On Downloaded RPM's) Following Packages have not been found on the Media<filename><filename>
Last modified: 2006-07-30 20:16:14 UTC
About 2 weeks ago I did a YOU. After I did that update, I noticed that ANY rpm that I downloaded to my home/doug folder(OR ANY OTHER FOLDER), would not install when I double clicked the file and installed with YAST from Konqueror. I never had this problem before. After my mirrors are loaded and refreshed, as usual, I get the Error box with: Following packages have not been found on the media or medium<filename><filename>. I think the problem is occuring because it can't locate the RPM package because its looking for a "DOUBLED" file name. Others have had the same problem, but could not resolve it.
I remember several forum posts confirming this problem (for _10.0_, really). The only YOU for 10.0 from the mentioned time frame which is somehow related to this feature is kdebase3-SuSE.
This is an issue for some time. Marking as duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 168358 ***
This bug was reported against SUSE Linux _10.0_ (not 10.1) and is not a duplicate of bug 168358 because it is caused by something else. => Reopening. Bug 168358 refers to SUSE Linux 10.1 where the feature never worked because it was never ported to the new zypp package manager. This bug refers to SUSE Linux 10.0 where the feature used to work fine until the kdebase3-SuSE update from end of June 2006. Maybe the kde maintainers can provide a comment.
So I suppose YaST is not invoked correctly by konqueror.

One report is sufficient. Since bug 193996 contains a patch => closing as duplicate of that. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 193996 ***
