Description Olaf Hering 2006-07-17 17:51:44 UTC
sles10 doesnt recognize Cell and Maple boards as chrp, a 0x41 PReP boot partition is not created. The reason is the lack of string 'CHRP' in their /proc/cpuinfo.

Is the decision about the required boot partition layout in c++ or ycp code?
If the latter, bug #115415 needs to be fixed first. I'm almost sure its in ycp code.
either way, the change has to go into sles10 sp1 as well.

Olaf, I couldn't know where the problem is without logs.
If you can't provide logs, close this bug.
Are you sure this is yast problem, not kernel?

something like this is required to catch more CHRP boards, and to identify pegasos.
