Yast2->Hardware->printer crashes as soon as the printer configuration
window comes up.  It also crashes at the last step of installation.
It also crashes in both text mode and qt mode.  I have logfiles, strace
and backtrace, but I see no way to attach them to this report...

I have the same issue. Isn't this the same as bug #202903 ?

proabably CUPS1.1->Cups1.2 problem

delete /var/lib/YaST2/ppd_db.ycp file
and start printer module
database will be rebuilded correctly
