okay, there were bugs in yast2-powermanagement, yast2-sound, yast2-network, yast2-bootloader and yast2-registration that I could fix and send the fix to the maintainer. I hope they are all fixed in the next beta.
y2-network part fixed (yast2-network 2.13.96). Btw, there were several wireless options missing in the validation file, I've hopefully created the complete list

I'm experiencing this bug as well. In my case, I'm using SLES SP1. The autoyast.xml file created by the initial install exhibits the validation error, as does any file subsequently saved by the autoyast editor. # xmllint -noout -relaxng /usr/share/YaST2/schema/autoyast/rng/profile.rng \ horizon-initial-autoinst.xml horizon-initial-autoinst.xml:4: element add-on: Relax-NG validity error : Element profile has extra content: add-on horizon-initial-autoinst.xml fails to validate

sles 10 sp1, created reference profile with 'http server' only selected. upon saving, message was shown : Checking XML with RNG validation... /usr/bin/xmllint --noout --relaxng /usr/share/YaST2/schema/autoyast/rng/profile.rng /tmp/YaST2-09883-u6WCA4/valid.xml /tmp/YaST2-09883-u6WCA4/valid.xml:4: element bootloader: Relax-NG validity error : Element profile has extra content: boot /tmp/YaST2-09883-u6WCA4/valid.xml fails to validate should i file a separate report or not ? i also had to use a workaround to have 'http server' option available at all (adding X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstClonable=true in /usr/share/applications/YaST2/http-server.desktop).

I have the same issues described above my xml file fails to validate on bootloader. I have the most up-to-date version of yast2 available. Currently running SLES10 sp1. Just wondering if there are any resolutions for this... and I just wanted to get added to the cc list.

bug still exists in SLES 11 SP1 and SP2
I did many fixes to RNC files today. I'm sure I did not catch everything but this generic bug does not help me fixing it, so I'll close it.
