Last modified: 2006-11-10 09:59:46 UTC
yast2 autoyast crashes when trying to read an xml configuration file, I used for the SuSE 10.1 installation. An error messages is printed: /sbin/yast2: line 267: 8991 aborted $ybindir/y2base "$module" "$@" ncurses $NCTHREADSdrivers...

is that reproduceable? I can load your attached file in post-beta1 without a crash
Yes, it is reproducable. Sometimes, I receive "Segmentation Fault" instead of "Aborted", but I was never able to open the file. My be it is an x86_64 issue? Hardware: K8D-Master3, 2xOpteron 246
This problem does not occur on a Single-CPU AMD i686 computer. Hardware: ASUS A7V, AMD K7 1200 MHz. So, it's quite likely that it is a x86_64 or a Dual-CPU issue.
Please, could you attach the yast logs? http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs/YaST

I've installed KDE and started yast autoyast in X11 mode. In this mode I received the additional error message: Segmentation fault at Printerdb.ycp:376
after removing the <printer> section I can read the xml file
