Bugzilla – Bug 219923
Installation-DVD's catalogue is labeled "20061110-165311" instead of a meaningful label like "Installation-DVD"
Last modified: 2006-12-11 23:54:21 UTC
I did a fresh install of SuSE 10.2 beta2 and afterwards yast asked me for "20061110-165311 CD1". It might be sensible to mediate to the user a more meaningful name describing the media's content, e.g. "Installation-DVD".
When exactly did it asked you for the CD/DVD?
Every time I install something via YaST. But also in Zen, the catalogue is labled "20061110-165311". How is the user supposed to know that this is the Installation DVD?
Duncan, where is that string generated any why isn't the LABEL from the content file used there ?
And why has this serious and annoying bug/regression been downgraded into an enhancement? This is not an enhancement, something doesn't work as it should and therefore it's a bug. Is it really necessary to turn every single report from the community into minor or an enhancement? In the duplicate bug 220195 comment 9, the project management even asked for an online update for this. And the number of duplicates is astonishing, everyone can see that this is not an enhancement. It's a most annoying bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 220195 ***
