Description Terje J. Hanssen 2006-11-25 13:49:05 UTC
Full openSUSE distro download and installation may consist of a total of seven CDs

* Basic distro CD1-CD5
* Addon Language (CD1)
* Addon non-OSS or Biarch (CD1)

The two last (CD1) is not used in the name of these download isos.
The main installation window entitles "Addon Language" and "Addon non OSS", while the last part of the tittle "CD1" wraps to the next line because of space.

However, the popup window requesting the next CD during installation contains only the last text part "CD1" with a spesific number in front of it (a number one hasn't noted. Beside the common AddonBiarch CD has two different numbers, dependent of i286 or x86_64 installation ).

Using nnly "CD1" as text information is very confusing and causes easy misunderstandings during the installation. Wrong "CD1" cause a loop of requests for "CD1". (it also looks like this might cause the installation to change to another, second CD if available).

To avoid this confusing, the popup dialog should use the whole title of the CDs, that is "Addon Language" (CD1) or "Addon non-OSS" (CD1) and not only "CD1" .

This is either handled in packager, pkg-bindings or zypp.
Trying lslezak as the 'probably responsible' person :)
