Bugzilla – Bug 236463
gnome main menu needs more granular date info for documents
Last modified: 2008-03-08 00:44:50 UTC
In the document secondary text the date of last edit is shown. We should use the evolution mailing list view date algorithm to be more granular for more recent edits. ie "Today 9:18pm".
Moving to 10.3.

Created attachment 187971 [details] patch for evolution like age descriptions Arg, i should have attached my patch here, my bad, I think Federico already checked this into the build service (I've had this patch for months actually). Check it out and see what you think Lucas.
I wasn't able to find this in GNOME SVN trunk. Are we hacking is a different repo or will Federico only push the changes in the end?
Thanks for the patch, Lukas :) I like JP's patch a bit better, since it displays the modification time along with the date for "recent" dates. Do you mind if I use this patch instead of yours? For now I'm hacking on a gnome-main-menu package as it came from openSUSE 10.3's updates; it's available in the build service here: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=home%3Afederico-mena%3A10.3&package=gnome-main-menu When we are done with the bug fixing week, I intend to push everything to GNOME SVN. I also want to make sure that openSUSE comes with all the changes that are in SVN as well.
By the way, there's a test package here with the aforementioned patch: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/federico-mena:/10.3/openSUSE_10.3 I'll put this patch in our main package as soon as the Main Menu bug week is over: http://en.opensuse.org/GNOME/Main_menu_bug_week
OK, thanks! :-)
Will fix for 11.0. Commited to SVN
submitted to factory - v 0.9.9
