Bugzilla – Bug 237693
hplip service started because of remote HP all-in-one device
Last modified: 2007-02-20 09:21:22 UTC
Stefan reported this problem to me: On his laptop yast2 printer started the hplip service but there is no print queue with hp:/ DeviceURI on his laptop. But he has a remote queue for a HP all-in-one device.
For details, please ask Stefan.
Seife, could you please paste DeviceUri from /etc/cups/printers.conf?
fixed in yast2-printer-2.14.21
Sorry, i had a day off, but if it is still helpful, it is: DeviceURI hp:/usb/PSC_1500_series?serial=MY599D41RZ0498 (on the cups server machine, of course).
No, I mean what is uri of that printer in your configuration? On remote machine B is it hp:/usb/PSC_1500_series?serial=MY599D41RZ0498, so you connect to that via something like hp://ipp/... ?
