If something goes wrong with SaX2, the user will see black screen with the command line. User is not ready for this! Why Xorg does not have something like "Safe mode" with standard vga driver, or, better, "revert to last known good configuration" big button?

It is not too hard to realize - just set up X scripts. For example, Red Hat starts redhat-config-video when Xorg fails.

I can do some work, if you want to.
